Whether home dog boarding, pet-sitting or dog walking, we only care for one family’s pets at a time. This allows us to provide the time, love, and attention they deserve.

Our motivation

Before Poochee Care was even a twinkle in our eyes, we were lucky enough to share our world with a beautiful Golden Labrador, Molly. She was and still is the driving force behind our business.

We tried to find a safe, credible place to care for Molly while we were away, and we had an awful, heartbreaking experience.

Looking back, I realise that maybe I hadn’t asked enough of the right questions. I paid the heaviest price as my beloved Molly became ill whilst staying with an unlicensed border. She sadly passed away after her visit.

We never want another pet owner to feel the way we felt.

And so it began

We quickly realised we wanted to be part of the solution in honour of Molly. After some careful deliberation, and plenty of research and training, Poochee Care was established.

We set about securing our licence and obtaining insurance, CCTV, and DBS checks. We understand how important it is to ensure every aspect of the business is fully legally compliant. We have several important qualifications and continue to update and invest in our training and business.

It’s up to us to make sure you feel confident that your dog is safe and secure in our care. Based on our own experiences, this is not negotiable.

Are we experienced?

Since we started in 2018, we have been trusted to care for dogs, cats, and many other small animals. Our customers give us glowing reviews, and they allow us to look after their pets again and again.

One of the best things about finding reliable, trustworthy people to look after your animals is that they get to know and bond with us. Every time you leave them, you feel a little more relaxed.

The benefit of our six years of experience is that we can tell if your pet will settle and be happy in our care. We value your pet’s welfare over money and would never agree to care for your pet unless we could assure you they will be happy.

We can proudly tell you that we have never boarded a distressed dog and don’t wave off an anxious owner.

What are we not?

We are not a kennel, or somewhere you can leave your dog at the last minute.

To ensure we give the highest standard of care, we meet and get to know you and your dog before you go away. Every dog is different; some will need to meet us more than once before they are comfortable. Our customers tell us they appreciate the comfort they feel from these meetings.

What we want for you and your pet

We want to wave you off on your travels feeling reassured and like you are handing your pet over to a trusted friend.

We want you to know when your pet is in our care, they are the centre of attention. This allows us to notice every little thing they do, attend to everything they need, and to keep to their usual schedule and routine.

There needs to be enough love to go around, and this is how we can guarantee this is true for every pet guest.

I am so thankful to have found Alyson of Poochee Care to take care of our boys while we are away. It really is a home from home bespoke service with regular photos, videos and updates we felt at ease knowing they were happy and content.

However, I did expect a better reaction when I arrived to pick them up, but it just proved to me that they had felt at home and so comfortable with the care they had received. I wouldn’t leave the boys with anybody else.

My dog is 4 and its first time had to consider a boarder. I decided to get to know someone before I needed to use. That way I was happy more importantly the dog got chance to get to know boarder and the person looking after him got to know him.

Poochee Care ticked every box. A meet and greet then a 2-hour visit. After that we decided on an afternoon then as it was a first time with staying, we did a trial stay over. All went well so now it I need to leave my dog we are all happy. I would never and you should never just dump your dog and go. They are like children and Poochee Care understands that. Reggie is walked everyday by Alyson, and we couldn’t recommend Pooche Care enough. We have been let down by previous dog walkers but with Pooche Care we are never let down and Reggie receives the best care.

Reggie is thriving with his daily walks and his behaviour has improved so much. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Alyson was amazing walking our dogs when we were away. One is a nervous girl and Alyson took it slowly and earned her trust.

She is totally committed to the welfare of the dogs and sent regular picture updates. It was our first time away leaving our dogs and felt they were totally in safe hands.
