You may be looking for someone to visit your pets during the day for many reasons. Perhaps you are working, visiting friends and family, have a planned stay in hospital, or are going on a good old-fashioned holiday.
Whatever the reason, it is a big decision and not something you are venturing into lightly. It is normal to have lots of questions; these will help you find the right person for you and your pets.
Which animals do you look after?
We care for dogs, cats, hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, birds, fish and other small animals. We often look after puppies and elderly dogs whose owners do not want to leave them alone for too long.
How long is a visit?
We visit your pet and home for 30 minutes.
Who will be sitting with my pet?
Alyson completes all of the pet-sits. We are not an agency and do not outsource any of our work. Alyson has been running PoocheeCare since 2018, and as you will see from the reviews, she has many happy new and returning customers.
What makes you qualified to look after our pets?

What happens when I call you to enquire?
You can discuss your pet’s needs and the dates and times you would like your pet to be cared for. We will check our suitability and availability; then book a day and time to meet you.
Do you meet my pet before the first pet sit?
We always meet potential new pets and their owners before we book a formal sit. Our clients tell us they find these visits very reassuring.
What happens during the initial visit?
This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You will be keen to see how your pet interacts with Alyson. We want to ensure that you feel confident in any decisions you make and that this is the right match for everyone.
This is where you can explain exactly what your pet needs and show Alyson where the food, treats, and toys are kept. You can also tell us about your pet’s routine and any little quirks they may have.
How many pet-sits can I book?
Provided we have availability, we will be more than happy to book several visits.
Alyson recently visited a cat for 21 days, so please call us to discuss any requests.
What happens after the initial visit?
You will be left with some paperwork, this covers areas like emergency contacts, vet details, and terms and conditions. A date will be arranged for Alyson to collect keys, and payment details will be given to you – all payments need to be made prior to the pet-sit taking place.
What happens during the pet sit?
Alyson will visit your home and follow your instructions on how to care for your pet, whether that’s feeding, cleaning out the litter tray, playing, or showering them with love and affection.
We will also water plants, turn on lights, pick up mail, and open or close curtains, giving the illusion that someone is home to help keep your home safe and sound whilst you are away.
Will I get updates?
A picture paints a thousand words! You will receive photos, videos, and updates so you can rest easily knowing your pet is safe, loved, and happy.
